The New River Valley Agency on Aging exists to
support and enhance the lives of older adults, their families, and
caregivers through advocacy, information, and services.
Through our website we want to assist you in finding out more about who we are, what we do, and where to turn for the help you may need. The New River Valley Agency on Aging is committed to finding more efficient and effective ways to respond to the needs of older adults and caregivers in the New River Valley.

The Agency will occupy a satellite office located at the Jesse Peterman Memorial Library at 321 West Main Street in Floyd on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 10am - 5pm. You may call the main Agency office number to speak to a staff member stationed at the Floyd location (540) 980-7720
Medicare Part D open enrolment will begin on October 15, 2015 - December 7, 2015. Please see the VICAP Program Page located bysearching the Programs and Services to the left or above and the Virginia Insurance Counseling Program (VICAP) page. Forms are available for download and completion.
40th Anniversary Celebration
You are cordially invited to join the New River Valley Agency on Aging as we celebrate the accomplishments of the past 40 years and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
Over the past 40 years, the New River Valley Agency on Aging, a designated Aging and Disability Resource Center, has expanded our service delivery system and improved access to information for all persons seeking long-term support in the Counties of Floyd, Giles, Montgomery and Pulaski, the City of Radford and theTowns of Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Pulaski. We are committed to improving the lives of older adults, caregivers and persons with disabilities.
This 40th anniversary event will be celebrated at Christiansburg Recreation Center on August 13, 2015 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. with an exhibitor showcase. Refreshments and door prizes will be offered throughout the day.
